Concussion Management

Concussion Management

Concussion is a brain injury that requires careful, evidence-based management. At Shenton Quarter Physiotherapy, our team has advanced training in concussion assessment and management, including complex and persistent post-concussion symptoms that do not resolve quickly on their own.

What we offer

We provide a comprehensive concussion service covering:

  • Initial concussion screening and baseline assessment

  • Ongoing monitoring and symptom tracking

  • Management of persistent post-concussion symptoms including headaches, dizziness, visual disturbance, fatigue and cognitive difficulties

  • Collaborative care with your GP, neurologist, or sports medicine doctor

  • Graduated return-to-work and return-to-learn protocols

  • Safe, structured return-to-sport programmes

Who we see

We work with patients of all ages, from school-age athletes to adults managing concussion from sport, workplace incidents or everyday accidents. If your symptoms have persisted beyond the expected recovery window, or if you want expert assessment from the start, we can help.

Why early assessment matters

Getting the right advice early makes a significant difference to recovery time and outcomes. Returning to activity too soon, or staying inactive for too long, can both prolong symptoms. Our physiotherapists will guide you through the right progression for your individual situation.

Based in Shenton Park, open from 7am
